Last week I told you about going to the opera for Valentine’s Day with my husband, Brace — the beautiful Cinderella production streamed from the Metropolitan Opera.

And here’s a funny behind-the-scenes moment.

When I was drafting that email, I told ChatGPT the opera was La Cenerentola, the Italian Rossini version I’ve always loved. But the email came back calling it Cendrillon. And honestly, I thought, “Well… I guess ChatGPT just doesn’t really know opera.” 😄

But then I started looking closer at the photos and the program — and there it was. Massenet. Not Rossini.

Same fairy tale… completely different lens.

It made me realize how easy it is for our past experiences to shape how we see something new. Because I had always known the Italian version, I assumed that’s what I was watching.

And money works the same way.
