The Profit Letters

This week, my daughter Savannah—who’s a barista at the sweetest little café inside a park in Colorado—sent me a photo that made my day.

A tiny baby bird had gotten separated from its nest.  No mama bird in sight. Just this fragile, puffed-up chick waiting on the ground, chirping and hopeful.

Savannah was able to help this little chick back into his nest with his mama.

But that moment stuck with me. Because honestly?
That’s how so many entrepreneurs operate with their finances.

They’re separated from their “financial nest.”
No plan. No consistent check-in.
Just winging it and hoping for the best.

In this final video of the CEO Profit Mindset series, I talk about the ritual of Weekly Profit Planning—and why it’s the heartbeat of a profitable business.

It’s not a spreadsheet habit.
It’s not “something you’ll get to later.”
It’s a leadership discipline.

The moment you stop waiting for the financial version of a rescue…
…and instead create a safe, strong nest for your money?

That’s when your business stops feeling fragile—and starts to fly.

Here’s your Weekly Profit Planning Ritual (5 steps):

  • Log into your bank accounts
  • Review what came in (and what worked)
  • Analyze what you spent (trim what’s not working)
  • Move money intentionally
  • Set one clear financial priority for the week

It takes 60 minutes. And it changes everything.

Don’t leave your financial health up to chance.
Don’t chirp in the dark and hope someone rescues you.
You’re the CEO.

It’s time to build the nest, protect it, and commit to leading.

Every week. On purpose.
